Coca-Cola World Citizenship Program Internships

Each summer, the Coca-Cola World Citizenship Program at UF sends graduate students into countries around the world to work on projects in progress, ranging from habitat conservation to educational programming, health, nutrition, agriculture and economic stability in the field offices of developing countries' non-governmental organizations.

This year, we have partnered with the Nimbkar Agricultural Research Institute (NARI) in India who is looking specifically for engineers to work on research in agriculture, renewable energy, animal husbandry and sustainable development. They have requested, mechanical engineers, chemical engineers and agricultural/biological engineers to work for developing technologies for rural areas of India.

If they are chosen, each intern will receive:

* Full cost of transportation (flight) to and from the NGO country office
* Stipend for in-country travel and food costs of $2,000 per intern
* Additional stipend for living accommodations up to $1,500 per intern
* Pre-paid MedEx Insurance which includes re-patriation
* Full coverage of necessary immunizations
* Reimbursement of Visa costs

Currently, we work with the World Conservation Union (IUCN), World Vision, Mercy Corps, Save the Children, Red Cross and International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC) in regional offices in Africa,
Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean.

Applications are due November 1, 2004.
