Introduction

The introduction of anthorpogenic pollutants into atmosphere has caused the degradation of air quality locally, regionally and globally. The increased pollutant level not only causes adverse impact on the environment but also human health and welfare. To develop better strategies to effectively manage our air resources and to protect human health and the environment, it is important to characterize the air quality.

Workers in the workplace are constantly exposed to air pollutants, too. Aerosol pollutants containing chemicals may enter the body through the respiratory route and deposit in the lungs. The physical and chemical properties of the aerosol ultimately determine the fate in and health effects on the workers.
