This course provides an introductory but comprehensive overview of the current status of solid and hazardous waste management in the United States. Major topics covered in the course are; Solid waste definition and regulations, Solid waste characteristics and generation, Solid waste storage, collection and transportation, Solid waste treatment, and Solid waste disposal.
