Environmental Engineer Needed in Fernandina Beach, FL

Engineer - Provides technical assistance to management regarding the requirements established in the various environmental protection laws.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
· Oversee all mill activities related to Title V permit compliance, pulp & paper MACT standards, stack emission testing, and air emission calculations, monitoring, and reporting.
· Oversee all mill activities related to SPCC, FRP, and RMP response plans.
· Manage waste programs including solid, hazardous, universal wastes and reuse/recycling.
· Work with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies to obtain and maintain permits.
· Interpret permits, regulations, and procedures to provide technical guidance and training for mill management and employees.
· Assist powerhouse with energy and water conservation projects, as required.

Expectations:
· Strong communication and coordination skills in a team environment.
· Strong organizational and administrative skills.
· Positive customer orientation.
· Ability to gather and analyze facts, draw conclusions and concisely present a case.
· Ability to plan and execute environmental projects is essential.

Knowledge and Skills:
Experience with data acquisition systems, EMS, and CEMS, a plus.

Education:
* B.S. in environmental science or engineering. Three to five years of direct experience in an industrial environment compliance setting.

Interpersonal Skills:
The ability to motivate or influence others is a material part of the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust. Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) to drive the safety processes.

Work Environment:
The environment alternates from an air-conditioned office to a hot, dirty, high noise and potentially hazardous industrial setting. Physical requirements include extensive walking, climbing, squatting, working at heights and working in enclosed or confined spaces.

Physical requirements described above are normally required 10 to 20 percent of the time. During mill outages or emergencies, these activities may be required for 14 or more days in a row and include working hours in excess of the normal workday.

Bridge Inspection Engineer - CAREER PLANNERS, INC. - Orlando, Florida

Engineer -  Minimum Experience: 1 year

Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering

Registration: Engineer-in-Training

Required Skills: Microsoft Office ; Microstation ; Bridge Inspection

Qualifications include Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and Engineer-in-Training registration. Position involves field inspection of bridge structures, structural analysis and report writing. Adapted rock climbing and industrial rope access techniques will be frequently employed to access structures for inspection. Position requires good communication and computer skills and a willingness to travel extensively throughout the United States, to work outdoors and to climb high-level structures. Experience in use of Microsoft Office Professional (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access) and MicroStation.
