The $19-million New Engineering Building was dedicated in February 1997 after two years of construction. With 135,000 gross square feet, the building houses classroom, office and laboratory space for the departments of Environmental Engineering Sciences, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanics & Engineering Sciences, and Electrical & Computer Engineering.
