| The
Environmental Systems Commercial Space Technology Center |
 |
The ES CSTC
is housed at the University of Florida’s Department of
Environmental Engineering Sciences (EES)
in Gainesville, Florida. The purpose of the Center is to
develop technologies for use in long-duration human space
flight, while at the same time serving as a catalyst for
current, “real-life”, commercial application of the
technologies developed. |

| The Center for Wetlands at the University of Florida |
 |
The Center for Wetlands at the University of Florida, the first of its kind in the world, was founded in 1973 by H.T. Odum. His goal was to use the Center as a focal point for both basic ecological research on wetlands as well as their sustainable use in meeting environmental management needs of the society. |

| The Center for
Environmental Policy |
 |
The Center for Environmental Policy conducts research, sponsors
conferences, and aids teaching of energy systems, systems ecology,
ecological economics, and ecological engineering that are the basis
for sustainable environmental policy. Research on "Emergy"
Evaluation is a main thrust of the Center, since maximizing real
wealth as measured by Emergy is a general public policy principle.
